Corporate Social Responsibility
Emax prides itself on being a socially responsible brand which is regularly involved in various types of social service. We are committed to fostering education and actively support local school events and student activities.
Student Awareness Programme
The Emax Student Awareness Programme offers schools in the UAE a chance for their students to visit our stores and enjoy a guided tour, along with talks to introduce them to the world of technology and help them understand the basics of retail. Emax launched this programme by organizing two school visits to its store in Oasis Centre, Dubai. The first school to visit was the IAS (International Academic School), followed by students of the IAT (Institute of Applied Technologies). They were given a guided tour, of all departments, by professionally trained staff who shared knowledge about various gadgets aided by demonstrations. The training objective was to educate and help the students make the right choices while purchasing gadgets and familiarize themselves with standards and retail pricing.
Through the Beat Diabetes initiative, Emax aims to educate and create awareness about the condition. A month-long fundraising initiative in support of the International Diabetes Federation's "Life for a Child" (LFAC) programme in the UAE was held in May, 2012. We surpassed our initial goal of AED 500,000 and raised over AED 710,000 which was used to support the entire spectrum of diabetes management for underprivileged children, including medication, tests and diabetes education.
Emax also supports humanitarian initiatives by local charitable organizations such as the Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre, which helps children who have physical and learning difficulties; the SNF Children Development Centre; and many other charities concerned with the growth and well-being of children with special needs.
